Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities

Chapter 2134

Kingsley watched Serena with a knowing, playful glint in his eyes.
He'd sensed something more than friendship in James' eagerness to escort them home the last time, and today's awkward behavior from the usually
straightforward man only confirmed it.
Kingsley didn't mind Serena finding someone to share her life with. A loving relationship could bring light and hope to her world, perhaps even aiding
her recovery.
Besides, James was reliable—albeit a bit clumsy when it came to matters of the heart. As a member of Destiny Corporation, he was trustworthy, and
Kingsley couldn't ask for more.
"You're teasing me again," Serena replied, her gaze dropping. Her long lashes cast gentle shadows over her cheeks, highlighting the sorrow in her
expression. "Someone like me, who might not even have a future, shouldn't even be thinking about such things."
Kingsley sighed deeply. "Just give me six more months. My research is almost complete."
"We'll discuss it when the time comes. I'm feeling a bit tired, so I think I'll head back to my room."
With that, Serena carefully set the box on her lap. She then guided her wheelchair as she slowly made her way back into the villa.
...
A week passed swiftly.
At Trinity Alliance's headquarters, Colin was on the phone, his voice filled with fury. "Tell those old fools they have six months! If they don't meet my
standards by then, they can kiss their careers goodbye!"
Just then, a knock interrupted his rant, and a subordinate entered the room.
Colin gave him a brief, uninterested glance before ending the call. "What is it now?"
"Sir, you need to rein in Zac. The man has completely lost it. After capturing Graham and Laura, he's been on a rampage. He's detained every single
fighter from Destiny Corporation—James, Reggie, the whole lot. Not one of them is spared!
"In such a short amount of time, he's already killed so many people. The police will be investigating us soon. And it doesn't stop there—he's dragged
in a massive number of prisoners.
"All our cells are overcrowded, and he's showing no sign of slowing down. It's as if he's hell-bent on wiping out Destiny Corporation completely!

"On top of that, Zac's acting like he's untouchable. He doesn't respect anyone, and morale among the men is plummeting!"
Colin listened in silence, his expression impassive, revealing nothing of his thoughts. "So, what exactly do you want me to do?" he asked.
Confident that Colin would support him, the subordinate wasted no time with his request. "If you could publicly reprimand Zac and remind him to show
more respect for the team, it would send a clear message. That's what we really need right now."
A wry smile tugged at the corner of Colin's lips as he leaned in. "Let me make sure I understand this correctly. Zac has single-handedly achieved
what a dozen of you couldn't manage together.
"And instead of feeling grateful, you're upset because he's making all of you look bad. Now, you want me to take him down for you. Is that what you're
asking?"
Realizing Colin's unwavering support for Zac, the subordinate dropped to his knees immediately. "Sir, I swear I'm not targeting Zac! I'm only thinking
about the future of the organization. Over the years, we've captured numerous members of Destiny Corporation.

Still riding the wave of recent victories, Colin wasn't in the mood for defeatist talk. His face darkened, and he retorted coldly, "So, what you're really
saying is that you're afraid you won't be able to outfight Destiny Corporation. Is that it?"

The subordinate winced in pain as Colin's pressure mounted, feeling as though his shoulder might snap. Cold sweat trickled down his face, and he
trembled as he spoke, "I understand, sir. From now on, we will fully cooperate with Mr. Zac!"
Before Colin could speak, another subordinate rushed in. Upon seeing Colin punishing the man, he froze for a moment before reluctantly speaking
up, "Mr. Craig, Ms. O'Connor has arrived."
