Chapter 32
Chapter 32 With Which Man Are You Eloping?
Barry felt a bit moved when he heard Tiffany insist on going. He knew his mom was dead set on finding him, even if the info was
sketchy. She just had to check it out.
Thinking about how he used to think his mom had ditched him, Barry felt a pang of guilt.
But he had to stop Tiffany from heading to the neighboring city! His mom and dad's relationship was just starting to get better. If
she left now, it would be even harder to clear up the misunderstandings!
Right then, Flora grabbed Tiffany's hand and said sweetly, "Mommy, let's go find my second brother together, so you won't have
to worry about him anymore."
"Alright, I'll get plane tickets for the day after tomorrow," Tiffany said with a smile, buying tickets for the three of them. She could
finish Leon's design draft tomorrow.
The whole thing about her second child being kidnapped had been weighing on her for years, and now there was finally a lead.
Barry frowned. The kid in the video wasn't him. He couldn't let his mom go. Sam was still with their dad.
Barry nervously clutched his clothes, looking conflicted. If his mom found a "second child" who wasn't hers and the
misunderstanding with their dad wasn't cleared up, wouldn't he, his mom, Sam, and Flora end up separating?
But seeing the joy on Tiffany's face, Barry couldn't bear to disappoint her.
Barry touched his watch and decided to talk it over with Sam first.
"Mom, I'll go pack my things in my room," Barry said and quickly ran inside, locking the door.
Tiffany smiled, thinking Barry was even more anxious than she was.
In the room, Barry quickly called Sam.
"What's up, Barry?" Sam answered right away, speaking softly.
"Sam, when mom was watching a video earlier, a kid who looked a lot like us showed up. Mom thinks it's me and plans to take
Flora and me to the neighboring city the day after tomorrow! Is there any way to make mom stay? If she leaves, it will be hard to
clear up the misunderstanding with dad."
"Huh? But mom only has three kids, so that definitely isn't her child," Sam said, touching his chin. He finally decided to tell their
mom the truth. "Barry, I think it's time we come clean with mom. And mom will be happy to know you're right here. Then we can
all be together as a family, isn't that good?"
Sam had been thinking about this for a while but was afraid Barry wouldn't agree. If Barry had to leave their dad, he would be
sad.
"What about dad? Are we just going to leave him?" As expected, Barry asked urgently.
"I think it's okay to leave dad, Barry. Let's tell mom the truth first. After all, dad doesn't let us contact mom, which means he
doesn't want to reconcile with her. If dad finds out first, we'll be taken away, and what will happen to mom then?" Sam quickly
explained to Barry, leaning more towards Tiffany.
"But I don't think dad would do that..." Barry mumbled.
"The most important thing right now is to stop mom from leaving. Barry, do you think we should tell her the truth?" Sam missed
Tiffany. If their mom knew the truth, he wouldn't have to hide from her anymore.
Barry wasn't ready yet; he was scared Tiffany would blame him. "Sam, if mom finds out I lied to her and switched places with you
just to stay by her side, will she... will she not like me?" His voice cracked at the end.
Barry was too sensitive. He thought Tiffany would hate him for it.
"She won't, Barry! Don't worry, mom will be happy to know you're safe," Sam said firmly, cutting off Barry's worries.

"Okay, let's tell mom the truth. But first, I'll find a way to make her stay."
"Alright, Barry. Let's meet up and figure out how to tell mom the truth," Sam said, feeling excited. He really wanted their mom to
know about Barry.
"Okay, it's settled then, Sam."
"Good."
The next day, Tiffany got to the office early. When Leon showed up, she was already hard at work, the sound of her pen
scratching on paper.
"Why so enthusiastic today?" Leon asked, looking at her with confusion.
"I'm finishing all my work today, so I won't bother you anymore," Tiffany said without looking up.
Leon frowned. Today? He had given her three days to complete it. Was she that eager to cut ties with him?
Noticing Leon's gaze still on her, Tiffany looked up and met his eyes. "Mr. Cooper, is there anything else?" Tiffany asked.
"I need flawless design drafts. Do you think you can finish in one day without cutting corners?" Leon said, his tone dripping with
sarcasm.
Tiffany was used to his mood swings and didn't mind. "Mr. Cooper, rest assured, I have my professional ethics. Since I agreed to
work with you, I will be sincere. I never cut corners on my designs. The reason I'm finishing today is that I'm leaving Harmony
City."

Tiffany thought telling Leon she was leaving would make him happy and stop him from giving her a hard time. After all, she
always felt that Leon didn't want to see her. At least, that's how it seemed to her.
Leon frowned deeply. Tiffany was leaving Harmony City? Was she leaving with that man?
"Then it's best if you never come back," Leon said coldly, returning to his desk and typing furiously, unable to calm his inner
turmoil.
Tiffany found him inexplicable. She didn't want to waste time arguing with him and continued working on her design drafts.
Before leaving work, Tiffany handed all the design drafts to Leon. She massaged her sore wrist as Leon reviewed the drafts with
a blank expression.
He was somewhat surprised; Tiffany's drafts were excellent. He couldn't find any faults to pick on.
"Mr. Cooper, if there are no issues, I'll be leaving," Tiffany said, turning to pack her things.
Leon, with a sullen face, put down the drafts and looked at Tiffany coldly. "Tiffany, it seems you're eager to elope with that man."
Tiffany was shocked. Elope? With whom? Leon must be crazy!
"Do you have any objections?" Tiffany smiled, not intending to explain. After all, this wasn't the first time he had misunderstood
her.
Leon was momentarily speechless, glaring at her. "No. Leave, NOW!"
Tiffany found him inexplicable and didn't bother to say more, turning to leave, while Leon sat in his chair, seething with anger,
slamming his fist on the desk.
'Tiffany! You better never show up in front of me again!' he thought.
