Sweet Submission: Reclaiming Her Love

Chapter 115

Chapter 115 Everyone’s
Here
Amanda’s heart skipped a beat. As she was about to explain, Jeremy gently held her hand, signaling her to
relax.
She finally felt a wave of relief wash over her.
Although she didn’t understand her father’s plan, she trusted that he wouldn’t do anything to harm her.
“Elliot, today is my birthday and also our wedding,” Amanda said shyly.
Elliot faced her with an expressionless gaze. “You know fully well that the engagement between our two families has been
canceled.”
It was his fault. His thoughts had been fixated on Corynn all along. He had overlooked how unlikely it was for Amanda to easily
agree to end their relationship.
The Willis family must have been orchestrating this since his last visit to Amanda. He had believed she had genuinely considered
their situation.
He glanced at the familiar faces around him and sneered, “It appears you’ve all kept me in the dark!”
The guests were confused. What was going on?
How could the groom be unaware of his own wedding?
However, the assembled crowd was quick–witted and soon pieced together the puzzle.
Elliot intended to break off the engagement, but the Willis family disagreed. So, they orchestrated the wedding secretly and lured
him here under false pretenses.
Clearly, the guests had been manipulated as well.
Jeremy was the first to speak. “Elliot, the wedding is a decision made by both families and so is the date. You can’t just call it off
without agreement!”

Elliot’s gaze landed on Jeremy. Just as he was about to respond, a new group of people arrived.
It was Gavin and Owen.
Elliot closed his eyes briefly, then reopened them with a sharpened look.
“So you’ve planned this for quite some time.”
“Elliot, you can’t say that. We’re doing this for the good of the Andrews family,” Evan said from behind.
Elliot turned to face Evan. This was their first real meeting, and he was clearly at a disadvantage.

“Elliot, happy wedding,” Evan said with a smile.
Elliot’s eyebrows twitched as he shot a cold glance at Gavin.
“Didn’t you promise me you’d never let this bastard join our family in this lifetime? Don’t you owe me an explanation?”
Gavin slammed his cane against the floor. “You rascal! How dare you speak to me like that?”
“Elliot, Gavin did this for your own good. Please, forgive his intentions. If you need to blame someone, blame me,” Amanda
interjected.
Ignoring her, Elliot locked his gaze on Gavin and said, “Everyone’s here. You planned to keep me here, right?” He never thought
his respected grandfather would betray him at the most critical moment.
Indeed, how could there be any real familial affection in the Andrews family? Cruelty and selfishness were their
true nature.
“Elliot, you either marry Amanda or relinquish your position as head of the Andrews family and leave!” Owen bellowed at the top
of his lungs.

Elliot removed his watch. Truth be told, he hadn’t been in a fight for a long time, and he had been wanting to hit Owen for just as
long. Now that Owen was making a spectacle of himself, Elliot didn’t mind indulging him.
Amanda rushed to intervene. “Elliot! You’re family, and they’re doing this for you...”
“Do you know why I’ve never liked you?” Elliot interrupted her sharply.
Amanda froze, and a sense of dread washed over her.
Jeremy, not wanting to see his daughter hurt, quickly intervened, “The marriage between the Andrews and the Willis families has
been the talk of the town since you walked through that door. Let me tell you, Elliot, you have to get married, whether you like it
or not!”
