Even through Soren’s clothes, I could feel his thigh muscles strong, compact, and powerful.
His entire body was as perfect as a professional male models, judging by the proportions of his waist and hips, his shoulders,
thighs, height, and leg length.
“Did you record everything, Cherry?” I asked, as matter–of–factly as I could.
“Yeap.”
I
I put away my tools and began asking each client for their preferences.
Some liked empire dresses, while others preferred loose cuts. The older women favored longer hemlines, while the younger
ones opted for short skirts,
I made notes on my tablet.
By the time we were done, it was nearly noon.
Lisbeth invited us to lunch, but I felt we had overstayed our welcome. I made up an excuse about needing to be in my office.
Soren glanced at his watch and frowned slightly. “I’ve got lunch with Mr. Chance, so I can’t stay either.”
“Great. You can see Miss Jones off,” Lisbeth replied.
“T–That won’t be necessary, ma’am. 1-”
Before I could finish, he assumed a gentlemanly gesture. “Right this way, Miss Jones.”
He was cordial, kind, approachable, and incredibly well–mannered–yet still someone at the very top of society. It was hard not to
feel a little pressured.
I decided to follow him. It was a good opportunity to return the handkerchief as well.
As we left the pavilion, I handed my bag to Cherry and told her to wait in the car.
“Mr. Kenway, I’ve been meaning to return this to you,” I said, handing him the neatly folded handkerchief.
A smile spread across his face. “You still have it.”
I couldn’t stop remembering my earlier mishap, so I looked at him timidly. “It’s your belonging. I wouldn’t treat it carelessly.”
“I didn’t expect you to remember it was mine,” he said. “You had looked very distressed.”
My smile froze. It was hard to keep it as I recalled the moment. “Well, you’re not wrong. I was distressed. I’ve never cried in
public like that.”
“Don’t worry about it. Edward’s an idiot. He doesn’t know what he’s missing.” “Yeah. Thanks.” I raised the handkerchief so he
could see. “I’ve washed it clean.” “Keep it. I don’t take back my gifts. If you don’t want it, you can just throw it away.” I was
startled. Was he a hygiene freak who didn’t like using things others had used? He seemed to understand my expression. “Ah,
that wasn’t out of disgust!”

Just then, a man in a suit approached. “Mr. Kenway, we should get moving ”
He nodded and gestured for me to follow.
Too embarrassed to argue about a handkerchief, I took it back.
It felt so strange, right? Being given a handkerchief with his initials on it... It felt like... some kind of love token.....
A new thought sprang into my mind.
“How come you were at the wedding, Mr. Kenway? Neither the Jones family nor the Kennedys are important enough to warrant
your presence, right?”
Soren gazed ahead as if lost in thought. “I was there... by happenstance.”
“Huh?” I was baffled, but before I could ask for more, we had arrived at our cars.
“By the way, Miss Jones? Please refrain from calling me Mr Kenway or anything like that. It makes me sound like a stuffy old
man with a stiff upper lip,” he joked.
