The Black Swan's Final Revenge Pirouette: The 99th Game Was Mine All Along by Kylie Homme

Chapter 222

Chapter 222
“We won
Jane and Zoe danced in glee, letting their pleasure shine through. They voiced their nervousness.
“We were so scared for daddy, mommy. He has made a great comeback in the game.”
Because of my tension, I was oblivious to my little angels‘ condition. It turned out that they were also secretly rooting for Bright’s
success. Their love and affection for their daddy gave me butterflies in my stomach. I was overjoyed to be on the same page
with them.
I clapped for the team’s victory until the boys celebrated it in their usual way giving each other high fives and hugs. It was indeed
so difficult for me to hold back for the initial five minutes. Then I walked out of the audience stal to meet my Bright. My beloved
fiancé, the love of my life, had proved his talent through his matchless performance. I was so proud of him.
Almost running, I made my way among the sea of energetic fans, cheering for Bright’s win. They all hooted and whistled to see
me sprinting towards my fiance.
Bright spotted me in the crowd and stepped forward, spreading his arms like romantic hero for me. My cheeks burned as I
crossed the thick layer of security staff and crashed in his arms, wrapping my arms around his waist. I was like a shorter girl for
my over six feet tall, athletic fiancé
The warmth of his love enveloped my entire existence in his embrace. His loving hugs were the only magic that had kept my
heart beating through hard times. His warm breath fanned my ear as he lowered his head and spoke huskily.
“I did it, Laura. You are mine!
Any doubt?”
That seductive whisper was the lock that sealed my fate, destroying all types of hurdles in our way. I snuggled into his chest and
poured out my
heartfelt emotions.
“Yes, I am only yours, Bright. I love you!”

“I love you too, Laura!”
These seconds felt like forever, calming the yearning for my wounded soul. I had finally tasted the first drop of rain after a long
dry spell I wanted this moment to never end, but the thought of the other party’s violent actions made me restless. I prepared
myself for Leo’s bitterness after losing, he was a sore loser to begin with.
Bright’s large hand was resting on my waist as I turned my face to my ex, his deep gaze was staring at us intently. He spoke
sharply.
“If we analyze all the past matches, my winning rate has always been as twice as yours.
You only won this season’s championship because I was unfit. But today!”
Unlike my expectations, Leo only used words instead of his fists. His surprisingly calm and collected behavior was in contrast to
his short temper. Bright was also shocked to hear Leo’s serious statement, but he went with the flow.
“It wasn’t a one–sided match, Leo. You played exceptionally well.
Winning and losing are the parts of a game. There can only be one winner.”
“I played well?”
Leo sighed, slouching his shoulders.
“Yet, you are the one who won, Bright. It was the most important match of my life and despite my outstanding career and years
of experience, I lost to
you.
This must be fate!”
Leo and fate?
Holy cow!

These two completely opposite words in one sentence were hard to digest, in his sportsman spirit evaporated my worry frite thin
air. Len accepted his defeat with dignity in front of the whole Lakon city.
“Congratulations on winning this challenge fair and square, Bright Wilson. I wash you a happy married life with Lantea”
Bright smiled softly and nodded. “Thanks, Led. I truly appreciate it.”
However, Leo wasn’t done with his speech, he added gravely.
“Don’t repeat my mistakes and take good care of Laura. If I find out that you have been had to her, I won’t let you off the hook.”
“Que sera, sera, Leo. Don’t get all worked up!” Bright chuckled, speaking fight heartedly.
“I am not aware that you have added your name to the list of Laura’s brother But you won’t get any complaints from me.”
Leo scowled, saying that he couldn’t be my brother and stomped out of the rink. We both laughed at his protest and thanked
inwardly for concluding the topic of noisiness.
I was set to ask Bright about the engagement ring when he questioned me out of the blite.
“Laura, what if I hadn’t won? Would you marry Leo as promised?”
As promised???
When did I mention that this stupid bet would decide my future?
The horror was written in bold letters on Bright’s forehead as he reminded me about the pre–match presser.
“You took off the ring and made it clear to everyone that you will act fairly. I thought
“You thought that I would really break my words after going through so much together?”
I completed Bright’s sentence, directly looking at his deep pools of hypnotism. His blue eyes sparkled with genuine delight as I
rose on tiptoes and gave a peck on his cheek.*
“Whether or not you win, you are still the one I love and adore, Bright. How can a mere match overpower our strong
relationship?”

Bright’s lively smile lit up his face, making my world shine. I circled my arms around his neck and confessed honestly.
“Even if hell freezes over, I will marry you, Bright. You are the only man in my heart.”
Ecstatic by my response, Bright snaked his hand behind my head and leaned in for a kiss, claiming my lips passionately.
“You mean the world to me, Laura!”
This final battle of love wasn’t just a match, but a face–off between the two legends, so this issue remained the prime topic of
discussion for days. There wasn’t a moment when our cell phones could go silent without any notifications. The congratulatory
messages from our friends, co–workers, and business partners showered us with their blessings. Not to mention, the parties,
business dinners, and work opportunities offered to us.
At one point, Bright was fed–up with this hectic routine.
“It’s been a week since the match, and we didn’t get a moment of peace to celebrate our win as a family.
This is so unfair!”
laughed at his complaint and poked his pouty face.
“From the sponsors of the Lakon city to the sports federation, everybody has invested in this contest.
So, it’s natural if they wish to cash this event and earn more profits with us. It’s purely business!”
“But I want pure love!” Bright held me closer, requesting pitifully.
“What about we ditch everyone and go out for a date night? My friend’s hotel is the best place for privacy.

No one will disturb ns.

The beautiful memories related to that hotel tempted me to say yes, but a sudden notification of my phone ruined it,
“See. I have received an invitation to iliscuss the arrangements for an exhibiter match for young players.
As your match was a tremendous hit, the academy owner is certain that Jane and Zoe’s participation will be pivotal to the future
of ice hockey in the
Lakon city.”
Although Bright wasn’t in the mood to work, the opportunity for our little angels career thrilled him. He spoke excitedly.
“An exhibition match?
It’s like a once–in–a–lifetime opportunity, Laura. Until now, the official teams have performed on such events.
It will give a great push to the young talent’s professional journey.”
Not only did he praise this idea, he went to the meeting with me as well. The andemy owner was on cloud nine to see us
together.
“Thank you so much for gracing me with your presence, honorable ice hockey star.”
The netizens were using this term for Bright because of his win. It felt great to see him getting the respect he deserved. The
contracts were discussed in a pleasant atmosphere, signing the deal pretty easily. The owner’s request took us by surprise as he
spoke.
“I have heard that you are getting married in two weeks. Please consider my offer to:
sponsor your wedding ceremony.
It will be my honor to serve an ice hockey star.”
What the heck?
Firstly, Mr. Spencer, then Mr. Julius, and now this man, all the notable investors were keen to invest money in a private event,
like Wilson family was a broke AF. Bright didn’t agree to his proposal and refused politely.

“In case you have forgotten, Laura is marrying the sole heir of the prestigious Wilson family, Sir. We don’t need a financier for our
big day.” Despite his clear refusal, Bright was still grumpy on the way back home. He mumbled under his breath.
“Idiots!
Stupid! Nosy people! No manners.”
His worsening mood made me consider his idea of having an intimate family event. It felt necessary to plan something out of this
world to improve his mood. So, pondering over different options, I reached home.
ཨ་འཇ་ཟ་
My trial of thoughts was abruptly interrupted by a chorus of cheerful voices as I entered the living room,
“Surprise!!!”
