Yasmine's expression turned icy as she replied flatly, "Not really."
Yvette wasn't about to drop it. "You're having dinner with Mr. Russell, right? Xavier and I thought we must've seen it wrong. When
did you and Mr. Russell get so close?" A strand of hair slipped over her collarbone while she spoke, giving her an innocent look.
"No comment, Yasmine replied, tossing the napkin into the trash. "Mis. Grant, don't into my life. We aren't that close." Yvette took
a deep breath, her eyes betraying a hint of hurt. "You're overthinking this, Ms. Sanchez. I thought we were acquaintances
anyway, and I was only trying to be polite. There's no hidden agenda."

No hidden agenda?" Yasmine rolled her eyes inwardly. Yvette always spoke sweetly and politely that it was hard to find fault, yet
it made Yasmine deeply uncomfortable. Yasmine smirked sarcastically. "You seem really polite, Ms. Grant. So is coming back to
the country to ruin my marriage just another part of your kindness?"
The coldness in Yasmine's gaze was unmistakable, and Yvette was taken aback, visibl
hurt as she gazed at Yasmine in disbelief.
"Ms. Sanchez, I never meant to hurt you. I was clueless about everything while I was abroad. I only found out about Xavier's
marriage when I returned. He told me he never loved you and was planning to divorce you, which is why I got together with him
early. "Besides, I met Xavier first. If it weren't for you, maybe he and I would be married by now. If anyone's responsible for this
mess, it's you who ruined my relationship with Xavier, Yvette said, her tone dripping with innocence.
Yasmine could hardly contain her anger at Yvette's tone. She sneered, "Yvette, don't try to twist the truth. You cut ties with Xavier
completely before going abroad. I met and married him during your breakup. How is that me ruining your relationship?"
Besides, even though Yasmine had feelings for Xavier first, it was Xavier who proposed to her. But Yvette was already enjoying
her time with him long before Yasmine's divorce. They were acting like Yasmine was just a sacrificial offering for their dramatic
love story. When Yvette returned to Xavier, her
eyes were puffy and red from crying.

"What's wrong, Yvette?" Xavier asked, pulling her closer.
"I ran into Ms. Sanchez. I just said hello out of politeness, but she seemed really upset," Yvette murmured, gripping Xavier's shirt
tightly. "Xavier, am I being selfish? It's all my fault. I shouldn't have shown up. If I hadn't, you wouldn't have divorced her." "You
ran into Yasmine?" Xavier frowned, feeling sorry for Yvette's self-blame. "Did she say you ruined my family?" Yasmine actua
said that to Yvette? Sure enough, she still cares about me. I gave her chances, but she insisted on the divorce. I'm not to blame
for that, he thought.
Xavier kissed Yvette's eyelids, trying to comfort her. "I have no feelings for her at all. I've always liked you. There's no talk of
destruction here. I told you to stop talking to her. She's not worth your concern."
"But she had taken care of you for three years..." Yvette said.
"She signed the divorce willingly, and I gave her compensation. We're even now." Xavier's voice was full of disgust, as if just
mentioning Yasmine made him feel sick.
Yvette let out a silent sigh of relief. "Xavier, I knew you've always loved me."
