Crippled Luna's Farewell: Half A Life Without My Alpha's Deadly Deception

Chapter 11

Chapter 11
In his emotional spiral, he opened his phone to their message thread. Her profile picture–that radiant smile–made it feel like she
was still by his side. Only these traces of her existence could
offer him any semblance of peace now.
His trembling fingers traced her image. Their last exchange was from two nights ago–his desperate explanations about the pack
feast. But Sarah hadn’t responded.
She’d never ignored his messages before. No matter what she was doing, his messages always had priority. His calls were
always answered on the first ring.
When had she started changing? Ethan hadn’t even noticed. Everything had shifted after the rogue
attack.
Scrolling up through their history, he found her excited messages about their Moonbinding
ceremony:
“Ethan, what do you think of this ceremonial robe? I want something that gleams like moonlight. These long legs deserve to be
shown off!”
“Can we take our binding portraits in this style? I want them displayed at the highest point of the ceremonial grounds. Let
everyone see my happiness, see how much my mate loves me!”
“Love, the moonstone ring you chose seems a bit loose. Could I try another? You mentioned a surprise–did you design one
yourself? You’re too good to me...”
He had designed a ceremonial ring. But... for Alexandra. Those sacred robes were just props in his deception. The Moonbinding
Sarah had dreamed of for five years–it was all a lie from the start.
Yet she’d never suspected, lost in the joy of what she thought was true love. Believing she’d found her destined mate, her eternal
protector.

Her innocent joy made Ethan sob uncontrollably. Tears fell on the screen as he sent message after message, pouring out his
love, his regret, his shame.
But each message bounced back–she’d severed their communication bond completely.
Ethan raced to the rescue teams, but it was too late. No trace of Sarah was found in the storm–tossed
waters.
Meanwhile, my plane touched down in distant territory. The “crash” was my carefully laid trap.
