Kelly's POV I
I stared at the television after the news about Chris getting arrested the very night after I told Pierce about the stalking, flashed
Chris was covered with bruises and
obviously, Pierce beat him up. The reason for his bruises and reasons for his arrest remained a mystery to the public. His fans
and the other people in the industry are now concluding made up things but no one got the right reasons.
I turned the television on the same time the main door exploded. I screamed as I covered myself. Luke immediately ran to me
and flipped the couch as someone started firing us bullets.
"LUKE!" I shouted as I covered my ears. Luke was covering my body with his own. He grabbed the flower vase and without
further ado, he rolled on the floor and smashed the vase on to someone. The firing stopped as soon as the vase broke. He went
back to me and held my wrist. "Let's go."
"Where are we going?"
"You're not safe here, miss."
I nodded and we started running away. He gently dragged me to the
emergency exit until we reached the parking lot. We stopped when we realized there's a group of riders waiting for us.
"Luke..." I gripped his jacket.
He clenched his jaws and put me behind him. That's when a familiar car suddenly stopped in front of us and the driver opened
the passenger seat. "GET-IN!" Pierce shouted.
immediately jumped into the passenger seat. I looked at Luke when I realized he didn't get in the car.

"I'll stop them, miss."

"No!"
"They meant harm to you. I don't know who sent them but clearly, they're here for you. I will try to stop them, Miss. That's my job
as your bodyguard."
"No, Luke! Get in the car-PIERCE!" I shouted at Plerce when he started driving.
"He's gonna be fine, Kelly."
"How did you know that?"
""He's not stupid, Kelly."
I pressed my lips together as Pierce drove away. I looked at Luke through the side mirror and saw him getting something on his
back. My eyes widened when he suddenly started shooting the rider. I flinched when Pierce held my hand and squeezed them
while some are fo "I'm sorry...."
My lips parted as I looked at him.
He glanced at me with guilt and pain in his eyes. "I'm sorry that I didn't know what happened. I'm sorry that I allowed him to get
near you. I-I'm sorry, Kelly. I'm so sorry. Please, don't leave me."
"Pierce..." I whispered his name with pain.
"I don't wanna lose you, Kelly."
I looked away. "We already talked about that-
"I-I love you..."
I felt like everything around me stopped and disappeared one by one after I heard him say that. I slowly looked at him as tears
formed in the corner of my eyes. I felt my heart beating so fast and loud. There were butterflies in my stomach. "W-What are you
talking about?"
He shook his head. "I-I don't know. All I know is I want to tell you that I realized that I love you...even though you don't love me."
I sobbed. "Pierce..."
The Chase is Över
He intertwined our fingers as he glanced at me again. "Stay with me, Kelly. I promise I won't hurt you again."
I swallowed hard. "H-How about Lexi?"
"I-I still love her but not as much as I love you," he paused and glanced at me again. "Kelly, I can accept the fact that I lose her
again but I will never ever accept losing you. I will bet my everything on you. Please, don't leave me..." I smiled, laughed and
cried inside his car. His confession made me feel so many emotions that I completely forgot everything. He stopped the car,
pulled me
closer and started kissing me passionately. His lips grazed mine as he gently caressed my cheeks with his fingers. He was
kissing me passionately, with so many emotions, with longing, with...love.
I groaned when he pulled away for a while and then attacked my lips again for a more deep and messy kiss. His kisses, this
time, were hungry and as if searching for something. His tongue delved in my mouth and played with mine.
We kissed like there's no tomorrow and it's making me so hot. We kissed like our lives depended on it. We'kissed until we're both
gasping for air and when our lips parted, he chuckled and wiped the saliva on the side of my lips.
I swallowed hard as I slowly opened my eyes and met his. He smiled and planted a soft kiss on my forehead. "I love you, love."
My cheeks heated. "Love?"
He chuckled and kissed me again before he started the engine. He glanced at me. "Before that, we should report what
happened. I bet this is all Parker's doing." "Did we lose them?"
"Yes."
"Let's go back for Luke."
Pierce shook his head, "No. We're not going anywhere other than places that are safe for you."
"Then, what about Luke?" Worry filled me. What if he gets hurt? He's my bodyguard. I won't accept any other bodyguard than
him.

"Then call him.
"I left my phone in my condo."
He glanced at me like I'm the most stupid person in the world. This is the disadvantage of loving a best friend. He can call me
stupid whenever he wants.
"Love, my phone is right there and I have Luke's number."
I frowned and grabbed his phone. He chuckled and shook his head while I started searching for Luke's name in his contact while
a smile creeped on my lips. He held my hand while driving. I was about to press the call button when I saw Luke's number when
a strong force my forehead on the dashboard but Pierce immediately shielded me with his own body. The collision was so strong
that the car bumped the barricade and flipped over.
My vision started spinning as the car rolled down somewhere. Pierce has lost his consciousness and even when I tried to wake
him up, he wouldn't wake up. I tried to unlock the seatbelt when I realized we landed on the water and we're about to drown but I
couldn't find the made me dizzy.
Oh God! Please...please, no!
The water was quickly swallowing the car and us too but I couldn't do anything. My body is becoming weak as I felt pain in my
lower abdomen. No! No! Not my baby!
